The Second Annual CRD Masters Cohort

The Masters Cohort is specifically designed for resource development professionals who wish to advance in the profession and succeed at the most senior levels. This year's day-long program, A Shift in Perspective, will focus on organizational development and change management.
The day will kick off with an interactive session facilitated by Dr. James M. Wilburn, III, a consultant affiliated with The Singer Group. Prior to becoming a consultant, Jim directed the corporate training and organizational development function for two national energy companies, and served as general manager, human resources for a diversified energy supplier. Jim received a doctorate in Adult Education from North Carolina State University. He serves on the continuing education adjunct faculty of colleges in Ohio, Maryland, Michigan, and North Carolina. In that capacity, he works with resident manufacturing and service organizations who look to their local colleges for management consulting and training assistance. Jim is also on the graduate faculty of NOVA Southeastern University and serves as national lecturer, core faculty member and dissertation advisor to the Program for Higher Education.
During the remainder of the day, participants will discuss in small groups, issues and/or case studies previously submitted by registrants (see instructions for submittal below). The problem-solving sessions will be facilitated by Masters Cohort faculty, Dr. Eileen Piwetz, Vice-President of Institutional Advancement at Midland College and Mary Ann Amelang, Institutional Advancement Officer at Lee College.
CRD members with seven or more years of professional resource development experience are encouraged to participate. The Masters Cohort is limited to 25 participants and applications will be taken on first come, first served basis.

$375 non-member rate
The registration fee covers cost of breaks, lunch and materials for participants.

Case Study/Urgent Issue Submittal Guidelines
-One Case Study per registrant
-Limited to 250 words
-Submittal of case study/issue is required
-There may not be time to discuss all submitted case studies/issues
Some Examples of Case Studies/Urgent Issues
-Fiscal challenges - the need to do more and improve results with less
resources
-Differing values between generations in the work environment
-Dealing with the mass exodus due to retirements of administrators and
presidents/chancellors at our community colleges
The case study or issue submitted should be significant beyond your immediate campus.
